I wanted to let all know that we begin accepting ON-LIINE applications from families who reside in Clackamas County and are low income on 15 October 2022.
For those asking about how to sign up for the Christmas Food & Toy Box Program.
Residents of Clackamas County that are low-income may register on-line. We WILL NOT be accepting paper applications this year, families will need the PIN number from their case manager, social service agency from which you receive benefits, school counselor, etc. and will then apply on-line.
Families who do not live in Clackamas County can call 211 and ask for a referral in their area. ONLY SIGN UP WITH ONE ORGANIZATION-DUPLICATES WILL BE DELETED.
When signing up, you will need:
· Address, · names (first and last) of all members of the house,
· age, sex and date of birth of all members of the household (including adults), phone number, and email for notification.
· Clothing and shoe sizes, please note if you have a specific need or you do not drive or have family or friend who can assist you in collections, please note that as well. If there are food allergies or needs, please share that on the application.
We hope to have a place at Berry Hill Shopping Center again, where we will be distributing the three Friday's & Saturday's in December.
Our partners will be delivering Saturday, 17 Dec, please plan to have someone at your home on that date.
Families who collect at the Center will need, their picture ID with matching address to be served. Your pickup time and date will be emailed to the address that is on the application.
If you are late or fail to make the assigned time, your name will be placed at the bottom of the list, and you will be served if we have enough donations left over.
We anticipate accepting applications 15 October until 27 November 2022.
We ask that in order to allow all of us to serve as many families as possible, that you sign-up to receive Christmas Food & Toys from ONLY ONE ORGANIZATION. We have so much need in our community this year. MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS WILL RESULT IN ALL BEING DENIED.
OUR VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteers of all Ages!! .
Originally this program was organized by Clackamas County Social Services, in the early 2000's the County could not fund the program with staff, etc. At that time, Robert Pearse reached out with other organizations, and volunteers and we became a Non Profit, 501C3 organization.
Since that time, we have continued on with the help and financial support of those in our county.
This will be my 33rd year of being involved in the organization.
As I plan on retiring in the near future, I am working with volunteers who have an interest in taking over the program.
Last year, we had Shasta Renae step up and become involved in the operation. Additionally she has been a long time volunteer and acts as Shasta Claus for us during the season.
This year, we have two volunteers who are going to try it out, Robert Fritsche who has been a volunteer since he was 5 years old and Chase Disselbrett who has volunteered for 10+ years.
Let's wish them all well on their journey to serving those in our community in need. If you have an interest in this, please email me.
Darlene
