What is CiACC?

CiACC  matches members of the community, service organizations and companies who contribute their time and resources, providing Holiday food boxes & toys, with families and/or individuals in need who are eligible for services.

Who participates in CiACC? Any individual, organization or company who wishes to assist in accomplishing the Holiday Food Box tasks for the community.  Currently, chapters of the Elks, Lions, Moose, Northwest Transitional Housing, Safe House, Christmas for Kids (Estacada) have their own program, Clackamas County Social Services/Mental Health/Community Health /Housing, the State Dept. of Human Resources, etc., area Fire Departments, churches, and Senior Centers are active, as well as companies such as Wilsonville Toyota, Rite Aid, K-Mart, Best Buy, Intel, Edward Jones, Coffman Excavation to name a few.

Is there a cost?  NO!

Does CiACC collect and distribute food and toys? CiACC acts as a clearing house connecting those contributing the food and toys to families in need of the items. Toy & Joy Clackamas County collects and distributes some toys to the participating organizations of CiACC subject to availability.

Can anyone still get food and toys if they don’t clear their names with the Clearing house? Generally not; our participants wish to insure that only those families truly in need obtain the Holiday Food Box and that each family receives only one. In the past, some families have gone from one group to another getting multiple boxes that should have gone out to other families.

Does CiACC need volunteers? YES! We can use help in processing the names, addresses, etc., that we supply to our participating organizations as they prepare and distribute the boxes.
